Erasmus+
Welcome to the website of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering – the oldest faculty at the Casimir Pulaski University of Radom. In fact it was the only faculty in the Engineering College founded on 13 January 1950. Since then it has played a leading role within the University.
The main headquarters of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering is located at „ul. Stasieckiego 54″ (Stasieckiego 54 Street) in Radom.
It should be pointed that the Department of Automotive Vehicles is located separately at „ul. Chrobrego 45” (Chrobrego 45 Street) close to the University campus located at „ul. Akademicka” (Akademicka Street).
Nowadays, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering comprises six units, i.e.:
Department of Construction,
Department of Physics,
Department of Applied Mechanics and Mechatronics,
Department of Fundamentals of Machine Design and Materials,
Department of Automotive Vehicles,
Department of Technology and Machine Design.
Currently our students can study at the following courses:
Construction,
Mechanics and Machine Construction,
Robotics and Processes Automation,
Electric and Hybrid Vehicles,
Management and production engineering
Vehicles and Road Transport Safety
both on a full-time or a part-time basis. Graduates earn either an MSc and engineering degree, depending on the type of course they attend.
A very intensive and wide-ranging scientific research accounts for another big part of the Faculty’s activities. Particular attention is adrdressed for the selected aspects of the Industry 4.0, application of Artificial Intelligence in solving of engineering problems, construction of drones, development of concrete building materials and the unique aspects of vehicle operation, alternative fuels and engine research. The mission of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, consistent with the mission of the University, is to lead in the development of technical civilization in the area of mechanical engineering, implemented through education based on research, knowledge and technology transfer, as well as regional cooperation, national and international, in compliance with the standards and the level of contemporary knowledge, skills and competences. Faculty of Mechanical Engineering plays a significant role in Polish science and education. It positively contributes to the development of Radom and the region.

Hello, we are Claudia Volino and Maria De Simone from Italy. We study mechanical engineering at the University of Salerno. We chose UTH Radom for our Erasmus+ project, unfortunately our stay in Poland coincided with the spread of covid19, so as for everyone it was a difficult period. Despite this, we received support from the professors of UTH Radom and we completed
our work. Radom is very comfortable, well connected to other cities in Poland and has everything you need to spend some good time in your free time. Now that the situation is returning to normal, we hope to be able to spend other good moments here in Poland. If you have any questions about it, contact us. Good luck.

About Radom
After Warsaw, Radom stands as the largest city in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship. Its origins reach back to the early Middle Ages. The town experienced its peak during the Jagiellonian dynasty. Important historical moments linked to Radom include the adoption of the “nihil novi” constitution by the Great Sejm in 1505 and the workers’ protests of June 1976, which many historians consider the beginning of political change in Poland.
Several notable Poles have connections to Radom, such as Jacek Malczewski, John Kochanowski, Witold Gombrowicz, Leszek Kołakowski, and Andrzej Wajda. The city’s historic landmarks, multicultural heritage, royal legacy, and post-industrial character make it a worthwhile destination. Visitors can explore the town and its surroundings using the network of pedestrian and cycling paths. Key sites along the historic trails include the remains of a 10th-century settlement in Piotrówka, the Old Town square featuring St. Vaclav’s Church, Miasto Kazimierzowskie with its preserved city walls and parish church, the Jacek Malczewski Museum housed in the former Piarist College, the Gąska and Esterka townhouses, the reconstructed town hall, and the Deskurs’ townhouse. Additionally, the Observants’ Monastery and the Art Nouveau houses scattered throughout the city center offer charming sights for visitors.
Radom hosts a variety of engaging cultural events, including international festivals, as well as high-level sports competitions featuring top-tier teams, all of which make the city an appealing destination.
Today, Radom is focused on enhancing infrastructure to improve residents’ daily lives. The city is revitalizing its parks and expanding a network of bike paths, sports fields, playgrounds, and outdoor fitness areas. The upgraded lake in Borki, along with the nearby promenades along the Mleczna River, has become a popular spot for summer activities, especially for cyclists and skaters.
Additionally, Radom serves as a major logistics and industrial hub. Its strategic position at the intersection of key transport routes, combined with ongoing infrastructure development, attracts numerous businesses. The local economy is dominated by precision manufacturing, metalworking, and leather production. Radom also offers excellent opportunities for outsourcing services.

Procedures
How to get a schloarship of Erasmus+? Below we present a guide for outgoing students.
1. Find your host University. Check out a list of our academic partners. The list may help you in your choice. Do not hesitate to consult on this matter with our Erasmus+ coordinator.
2. We have to check your skill of the English language. For this reason on the beginning of the year you have to pass necessary language exams. Details of these exams are presented each year in the beginning of the January on our website. Certificates of British Council, Goethe Institute, Institut Francais or TELC exempt from exam. However these certificates must be presented to the head of our language school (in polish: Studium Języków Obcych). The school is located at 31 Chrobrego Street in Radom
3. In next step you will be invited to participate in an interview with URad. Vice-Rector for staff development and international cooperation.
4. Results of this interview and language exam will decide your position in the ranking list of students applying for the Erasmus+ scholarships.
5. Now, all successfully graded students are requested to fill the Application Form and Learning Agreement. These documents are available here.
6. Please stay in touch with URad. International office and our Faculty Eramsus+ Coordinator to successfully complete the procedure.
